About the course
This exhilarating module by YMCA is ideal for gym instructors and personal trainers to extend the range of classes you can deliver. Developed by leading indoor cycling specialists; the Indoor Cycling Group, it will train you to deliver high intensity studio cycling classes that are engaing and get results for your clients. Indoor cycling is suitable for anyone and is great for weight management training as it is one of the quickest ways to burn calories using cardio equipment. You will be teaching one of the most popular classes to hit the industry and you will have unparalleled student support to help you along your way.
Lessons will include:
- Group teaching skills.
- The correct setup and posture.
- How to teach cycling techniques, cycling profiles and drills.
- How to plan, structure and deliver a class.
- Cycle-specific teaching skills.
- How to use music to enhance the experience.

Entry requirements
You need a CIMSPA accredited L2 Gym Instructor qualification for entry onto this course.

On successful completion of this course you can progress to a Level 3 Personal Training qualification or why not widen your skill base as an instructor applying for our Level 2 Group Exercise Instructing courses in Circuit Training, Studio Resistance Training, Kettlebell Training or Strength and Conditioning. Alternative pathways could be to our Level 3 Sport Massage.
