About the course
The ability to make your own furniture is a skill that many would love to have. Working alongside a local employer, Apprentices on this programme will learn the design and production process; prepare fabrics for upholstery, hand-craft furniture, veneer and polish. Each Apprentice enrolled on this programme will get the chance to display their work at a prestigious exhibition at Towneley Hall, welcoming high profile guests to the month long event.

Entry requirements
A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects including GCSE English Language, Mathematics and Science. Applicants must be hardworking, reliable and motivated. As part of the interview process, Apprentices will undertake a BKSB assessment in English, Mathematics and ICT. You may also need to sit the Construction Skills Structured Learning Exercise if your employer requests it. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements but hold relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements may also be considered. |
Assessment
You will be assessed via onsite assessments, practical tasks and on-line exams.
