Welder Assessment - MMA, MIG, MAG, FCAW, TIG

About the course

The first step in developing a welders abilities in any process is to undertake a welder Assessment. This is a one day session which takes place in our workshop with our CSWIP and TWI approved welding instructors. The objective of this session is to assess the welders aptitude and current skill level in the chosen process, to agree the level of certification the candidate is aiming for, and identify the content and duration of the required training programme. Our instructor will first of all discuss the welders experience and personal aims and/or the companys objectives for that specific welder, so that all parties can fully understand and agree the levels that need to be attained. The candidate will then be given practical exercises to undertake unaided so that their current abilities can be assessed and any weaknesses identified for particular attention during the training programme. Once the assessment has taken place we will devise a tailored programme specific to the candidates needs.
