About the course
IOT Core 3: Software Development Practitioner
This training program is part of the new suite of IOT Core 3 computing and IT training packages. These qualifications have been designed to work individually or as a combination of two or three depending on the needs of the individual or business. This training package will equip learners with the skills they need in a wide range of sectors including engineering companies and the IOT computing skills they will need for future. We understand that programming language choice is different depending on the sector and business need so have designed this program so that learners can develop their skills in the language most relevant to the business. |
Modules
1. Program development: You will learner about the structure of programming languages and how to interact with the language chosen. You will also investigate literals, operators and variables and apply these to practical programming scenarios. 2. Efficiency in programs: You will learn how efficient programs are developed using iteration, selection and bit operations. You will apply this in different scenarios to develop an understanding of the importance of efficiency in programming. 3. Managing data in programming: You will investigate how data is managed in programming including creating developing and managing lists and arrays. You will also learn how to manage this data so it can be used efficiently in a wide range of scenarios. 4. Managing and developing efficient code: You will develop and understanding of functions and tuples to manage code created in an efficient way.
Assessment
This will be assessed as an industry based project.
Careers & Progression
This qualification forms one program in a suite of three IOT Core 3 practitioner programs which can be studied as one, two or all three programs. This could lead onto a HNC in Computing.
